Landing on a Comet: Rosetta Mission
Wild Things with Dominic Monaghan
Wild Things with Dominic Monaghan now in it’s second season airing on BBC America, BBC WorldWide and OLN is a travel show which features some of the worlds most dangerous insects and reptiles on the planet.
Working with Cream productions Kerosene designed and developed the intro title sequence treating footage and creating an end title reveal.
The design package included stylized in show map animations and multiple variations of bumpers for the show. As part of our approach we wanted to achieve a look that reflected the gritty and dangerous feel of the show with textures, hand drawn lettering and animated creature elements that surround the title.
Kerosene joins forces with Discovery’s Daily Planet to present Landing On A Comet: Rosetta Mission, the pinnacle of a multi-decade quest. It is the story of Rosetta and Philae – a spacecraft and her lander, both on a daring and historic journey to visit and land on a comet, sending back to earth, clues to life’s beginnings.
Kerosene’s stunning effects and revealing animations, bring these active maneuvers and compelling drama’s to life within the complex solar system, making this mission history in the making.
Our animated content for this special included comet flybys, full 3D Models of both the comet and Philae, along with incredibly in depth landing scenario’s.
