The entire Kerosene team collaborated with longtime client Leif Films on this stunning feature film. Our artists added amazing effects for over 250 shots, including  crowds, driving scenes, effects, paintouts and extensive 3D assets and buildings. The team carried out careful research in order to respect the historical accuracy of the buildings and vessels.  Kerosene also provided a broadcast design package for the film, including a customized title, along with on set supervision and direction for many of the green screen elements featured in the film.

This is a riveting narrative of the life of Tia Zhang, a young Chinese ballerina who came of age during the reign of Mao Zedong. The story takes place in Beijing, China, and spans over a period of nearly 50 years.
