Kerosene Visual Effects is looking for multiple 2D and 3D artists to join our team.
The positions require experience within the film and television industry and the ability to thrive in a creative environment. Applicants must be self-directed but can take direction and work in a team based environment, have good communication, time management, and organization skills, and a solid work ethic with a positive attitude.
Maya 3D Generalist:
RESPONSIBILITIES
Modeling of CG elements
Rigging of CG elements
Animation of CG scenes
Rendering of CG scenes for use in compositing software
QUALIFICATIONS
Artist must be proficient in Maya, with an emphasis on Modeling and Rigging techniques
Proficiency using Redshift rendering and ability to build Maya shader networks a real plus
Ability with Adobe CS tools for texturing – specifically Photoshop is necessary
Preference will be shown to artist who also have a proficiency in Adobe After Effects
AE Compositor:
RESPONSIBILITIES
2D and 3D photo-realistic compositing using Adobe After Effects and/or The Foundry's Nuke
2D photoshop image manipulation
Green screen keying, 2D and 3D tracking, and rotoscoping
Works with full knowledge of color space principles
QUALIFICATIONS
Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and ability with other Creative Cloud applications is a plus
Preference will be shown for those with experience in compositing for Film and television
Knowledge and ability using Nuke and NukeX is an asset
Be self-directed but can take direction and work in a team based environment
Have good communication and time management skills and be extremely organized
AE Motion Graphics Artist:
RESPONSIBILITIES
Broadcast Design Packages and Opening Title design and implementation
Look development and creation of Client/Presentation Style Frames
2.5D animation creation and execution
Integration of 2D and 3D elements into design templates
QUALIFICATIONS
Artist must be fully proficient in Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and the Creative Cloud Suite
Exceptional sense of design is a must
Preference will be shown for those with experience in broadcast design for television
Knowledge of the latest AE pluggins (including Video Co-Pilot Element) is a major plus
Proficiency with Cinema 4D and/or Maya 3D is an asset
Have an understanding of multi-pass layers for compositing is a plus
Kerosene's team of artists are working fully remote. Successful candidates will need their own computer and internet access to connect to and use the workstation located at Kerosene's Studio. Though your working location is flexible, successful candidates must be Canadian citizens with a social insurance number, who file their annual taxes in the province of Ontario.
